A website exposing the underbelly of the alcohol industry.

Haus, an independent spirits producer, wanted to create a website that was educational and solution-oriented to raise the standards in the alcohol industry by shedding light on current practices.

When we started working with Haus, we learned about their hands-on process and how important having a sense of humanity in their product was. In the website, we wanted to capture a tactile quality that was present from their brand through to their product.

We designed and built a website that illuminates some of the murkier details that go on during the production of most commercial alcohols.

We broke the content up into five sections, with each one focusing on a different aspect of the industry. Each section was contained in a shape cutout pulled from the Haus brand vernacular, and used a tactile sliding mechanism for navigation.

The sliders utilized a skeuomorphic design that allowed users to reveal content at their own speed. HA-05

The design was created to scale seamlessly from desktop to mobile to preserve the content delivery mechanism.

This interface was developed with mobile first in mind. We wanted the revelation of content to be fun and engaging, and we hoped being able to use your fingers to shift the sliders as you would IRL would be a satisfying experience.

We extended the design language created for the site into a mini-campaign to launch the initiative via Instagram.
